His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, and Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation deployed a SADC Electoral Observation Mission (SEOM) and appointed H.E. Mr. Enock P. Kavindele, Former Vice President of the Republic of Zambia as the Head of SADC Electoral Observation Mission (SEOM), to the 29th September 2023 General Elections of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

The SADC Executive Secretary H.E Elias M. Magosi and Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Botswana and SADC, Her Excellency Ambassador Petra Pereyra today co-chaired the SADC-EUD Quarterly meeting where they reviewed implementation of joint programmes in support of regional cooperation, integration, peace and security; and natural resources management. The SADC Secretariat through its Climate Services Centre is convening the 27th Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-27), which will be preceded by a Climate Experts Meeting aimed at building capacity of Climate Experts from Member States. SARCOF-27 is being supported through the European Union (EU) funded Intra-ACP Climate Services and related Application Programme. Both the Climate Experts Meeting and the SARCOF-27 Forum will be held in Mauritius.
