LEAST COST SELECTION
Assignment Title: Provision of External Audit Services to CCARDESA Secretariat, for the Financial Years Ending 31 December 2026, 2027 and 2028.- CCARDESA Secretariat, Botswana.
The Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for Southern Africa (CCARDESA) has received financing from various donors towards its mandate of Coordinating Agricultural Research and Development in Southern Africa and intends to apply a portion of these proceeds towards eligible payments under this contract. Payment by CCARDESA will be made only against approved deliverables, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the CCARDESA financial Management Systems.
The primary objective of this assignment is to engage a qualified and suitable external Auditor (Accredited with Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) and Botswana Accountants Oversight Authority (BAOA)) to undertake the financial Audit of CCARDESA Secretariat for the three years beginning with the financial year ending 31st December 2026 to 31st December 2028.
The objectives of this audit are to enable the Auditor to express an audit opinion in accordance with ISA 800 (revised) on whether:-
the general-purpose financial statements of CARDESA for the year ended 31 December 20xx presents, in all material respects, in conformity with the applicable Financial Reporting Standards.
the Project financial statements or Statement of Expenditure for the year ended 31 December 20xx presents, in all material respects, in conformity with the applicable Terms and Conditions of the Financing agreements.
The Secretariat books of accounts provide the basis for preparation of those financials statements and are established to reflect the financial transactions in respect of the Secretariat and that it maintains adequate internal controls and supporting documentation for transactions.
The Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for Southern Africa now invites eligible Consulting Firms (“Consultants”) to submit their expressions of interest. Interested consultants should provide information (Comprehensive list of assignments showing description of similar assignments, Management Structure, experience in similar conditions, and availability of appropriate human resources) demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The best qualified firm to carry out the services will be selected in accordance with the Least Cost Selection (LCS) method set out in the CCARDESA procurement manual.

Expressions of Interest, signed and in PDF format, must be delivered in a written form to the address below (in person, or by mail, or by e-mail) not later than 13th November 2026. Applications should bear the name of the assignment in the subject field.
