Virtual 2025 Regional World Accreditation Day Commemoration to be hosted by SADC Cooperation in Accreditation (SADCA)

SADC Cooperation in Accreditation (SADCA) will be hosting a virtual 2025 SADCA Regional World Accreditation Day Commemoration event on the 10th of June 2025 from 09h00 - 11h00 South Africa Standard Time Zone (SAST). 

The World Accreditation Day which is commemorated  on 9th June every year is a global initiative established jointly by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC)to raise awareness, promote the value and the importance of accreditation.

This year’s theme is, Accreditation: Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the virtual event will focus on how accreditation supports SMEs that are an essential tool for enabling global trade, enhancing global economic growth, driving innovation, promoting quality and competitiveness and most importantly the SMEs contributes towards job creation in the various regions.

Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to join the virtual commemoration and to contact local accreditation body or National Accreditation Focal Points (NAFP) for further details.
