Elimination 8 (E8) invites qualified vendors to submit proposals for Web Design, Development, Maintenance and Hosting Services for the Southern Africa Malaria Elimination Eight Initiative.
1. Background
The Southern Africa Malaria Elimination Eight Initiative Secretariat (“Elimination 8”) is a regional organization covering eight countries: Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Elimination 8 was established by the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Ministers of Health for the purpose of accelerating regional collaboration towards the elimination of malaria.

2. Services Required
The E8 Secretariat is seeking an individual consultant or firm with relevant expertise to design and construct a comprehensive website that offers a visible web presence for the Elimination 8 initiative, and offers functionality to its members and partners. The selected individual/vendor will be required to create (design, develop, test and implement) a web platform which meets the following criteria:
- Interactive, appealing, highly usable and mobile-friendly web design
- Search engine friendly
- Render appropriately on a wide variety of browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and Edge
- Design and final solution should adhere to accessibility and compliance requirements
- Public and Registered Users (Members) only Areas
- Secured & Authenticated Web Access
- Administrators should be able to review user registration/profile details, change user roles/access rights, terminate / close user accounts
- Privacy Settings Administration
- Content Management
- Site Statistics/Management Reports
- Calendar, Events, Reminders, calendar integration
- Social Network Integration and Blog The site should be capable of having Blog(s)
- Email Notifications
- Spam Control
- Content Moderation Mechanism
- Intranet should be capable of hosting a quick and basic level of discussion with and without moderation of comments
