The SADC Technical Meeting to review the targets of the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development is taking place at Birchwood Hotel Conference Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa from the 26th – 28th October 2015. The meeting is attended by all SADC Member States, the United Nations Entity for the Empowerment of Women and Gender Equality i.e. UN Women and representatives from the Civil Society Organization. The objective of the meeting is to align the targets of the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development to the Sustainable Development Goals and Targets; the African Union Agenda 2063 and the Outcome of the Beijing +20 Review.
