This year’s Public Lecture will take place today (12th August 2022), ahead of the SADC 42nd Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government scheduled to take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo from 17th to 18th of August 2022. The Public Lecture aims to sensitise the public on the advantages and successes in promoting and deepening SADC regional integration.
The theme for the public conference is “Investing for the industrialization in the SADC region: ensuring endogenous development”. The theme emphasizes on the importance of industrial development, elimination of poverty and promotion of the economic participation of SADC citizens.
