SADC Executive Secretary Her Excellency Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax attended the inauguration ceremony of Zambia President, H.E. Mr Edgar ChagwaLungu which was held in Lusaka, Zambia on September 13, 2016.
SADC congratulates the President, the Government and People of the Republic of Zambia for the peaceful and successful elections, and the inauguration ceremony. SADC congratulates Her Honor Mrs Inonge Mutukwa Winaas for being re-elected as the Vice President of Zambia.
As a practice in the Region, SADC participated to the observation of the elections in August 2016 in Zambia through SADC Election Observers Mission (SEOM).
