SADC and SACC to Fight Corruption

SADC Secretariat and the Southern African Forum Against Corruption (SAFC) held discussions centred around the implementation of the SADC Protocol Against Corruption. The two parties resolved to expeditiously operationalize the SADC Anti-Corruption Committee (SACC), established under the SADC Protocol Against Corruption.

This was agreed at a meeting between SADC Secretariat and a delegation of SAFAC which visited the SADC Secretariat this morning, 23rd April 2015. The SAFAC delegation comprised of Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies from Botswana, Kingdom of Lesotho, United republic of Tanzania, and Zambia. The delegation was led by Zambia, and was received by the SADC Executive Secretary, H.E. Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax.
