BOTSWANA, 24 June, 2015. The Royal Norwegian Ambassador, H.E. Trine Skymoen today presented Letters of Credence to the SADC Executive Secretary, Dr. Stergomena L. Tax. At this occasion, the SADC Executive Secretary welcomed the Norwegian Ambassador and through her, thanked the Norwegian Government for the continued support to the SADC Secretariat and Member States. She particularly thanked the Norwegian Government for the recent support to SADC in mediation capacity enhancement, especially capacity of women mediators.
The Ambassador, H.E. Ms. Trine Skymoen assured the Executive Secretary of continued support by Norway and committed to working very closely with the SADC Secretariat.The Ambassador took note of the recent developments, especially in relation to the revised SADC Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (RISDP) 2015 – 2020, and SADC Industrialization Strategy and Road Map 2015-2063. Both parties recognised the importance of the Private Sector, through local and foreign investments in the implementation of these two blue prints.
