The Regional Director of Southern Africa Amnesty International Mr. Deprose Muchena, accompanied by his Deputy Director for Research Mr. Noel Kututwa paid a courtesy call on the Executive Secretary of SADC Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax on Friday November 14, 2014 at the SADC HQ in Gaborone, Botswana. The purpose of the visit was to formerly inform the Executive Secretary about the Regional Office of Amnesty International for Southern Africa which recently opened in Johannesburg and discuss ways in which the two organisations can work together to promote Human Rights in Southern Africa. Amnesty International is a global movement that fights against human abuse.
