Nordic Ambassadors pay a Courtesy Call on SADC Executive Secretary

Nordic Ambassadors accredited to SADC based in Pretoria and Harare paid a courtesy call on SADC Executive Secretary, H.E Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax to discuss SADC regional integration matters and look into possible areas of cooperation and partnership. The Nordic delegation was comprised of H.E Ambassador Bárd Hopland of Norway based in Harare; H.E Ambassador Kari Bjornsgaard of Norway based in Pretoria; Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Sweden based in Pretoria, H.E Karin Johanson; and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Finland based in Pretoria, H.E Matti Tulonen.

Nordic countries, which include Demark, enjoy a historic and firm partnership and cooperation with SADC Member States. The visit to the Secretariat reaffirms the commitment of the Nordic countries to support the political and socio-economic programmes of SADC.
