Kwazulu-Natal Legislative Finance Portfolio Committee visit SADC Secretariat

A fifteen-member delegation of the Kwazulu-Natal Legislative Finance Portfolio Committee of South Africa visited the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat in Gaborone, Botswana on 14th February 2017.

The delegation was in the country on a benchmarking mission to the Government of Botswana and visited the SADC Secretariat to understand and appreciate the efforts to implement the region's integration agenda as envisaged by SADC Member States.
The Finance Officer for General Ledger at the Secretariat Mr. Cleophas Samusodza, briefed the delegation on operations of the organization. The delegation also toured the SADC Library and the Records Unit where they appreciated how the Secretariat stored documents and handled correspondences between SADC Secretariat and other entities.

Head of the delegation and Chairperson of the Finance Committee, Hon Sipho Caiphas Nkosi thanked the SADC Secretariat Management for allowing them to visit and tour the SADC House. He explained that they learnt a lot about what the Secretariat was doing to facilitate integration of the region towards a common future.
