On October 7, 2014, a delegation led by the Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Botswana, Mr. Alexander Baum, paid a courtesy call on SADC Executive Secretary, Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax.
This was the first visit of Mr. Baum to the Executive Secretary since he arrived in Botswana in September 2014.
Before coming to Botswana, Ambassador Baum was Head of the EU Delegation to Malawi and prior to that, he was formerly the Commission's Head of Unit for inter-institutional relations in the development field and has served in Delegations in Tanzania and Guyana.
