THE FIRST TRIPARTITE MEETING OF THE LOBITO CORRIDOR COMMITTEE OF MINISTERS HAS ENDED IN THE PORT CITY OF LOBITO, ANGOLA

The SADC Secretariat with the support of the Africa development Bank facilitated the first Lobito Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency Committee of Ministers Meeting. During the meeting that took place from November 14 to 16, 2023, in the Main Hall of the Lobito Municipal Administration in Benguela province, Angola, the committee of ministers discussed and approved various matters. These included, among other things, the establishment of subcommittees and an interim secretariat to be based in Lobito, the development of dry port frameworks for Zambia and the DRC, and other important matters related to the development of value chains and economic clusters in the mining and agriculture sectors along the corridor.
