The Extra-Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the SADC Organ
Troika, Plus SADC Troika, and Force Intervention Brigade (FIB) and SAMIM
Contributing Countries to the peace processes in the Democratic Republic of Congo
and the Republic of Mozambique, hereinafter called Summit, was held virtually on the
11th July 2023.
2. Summit was officially opened by His Excellency Dr. Hage Gottfried Geingob, President
of the Republic of Namibia, as the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics,
Defence and Security Cooperation, and chaired by His Excellency Mr.
Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, and Incoming Chairperson
of the Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation.
