SADC Executive Secretary, H.E. Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax yesterday met H.E. Cyril Ramaphosa, Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa and SADC Facilitator on Lesotho and exchanged views and information regarding developments in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
The meeting, which was held in Pretoria, emphasized the need for the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho to cooperate and support the SADC Commission of Inquiry in executing its mandate. The meeting also pointed out the need for the peaceful return of exiled Basotho Political, and the undertaking of urgent security sector and constitutional reforms. The Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation, H.E. President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi of the Republic of Mozambique will be advised accordingly
