The SADC Annual Report for the year 1999- 2000 is presented in six parts. The first part reviews the world economy, the Southern African economy and prospects for the region for the year 2000.
Developments in the main sectors of SADC are covered in the second parts, whilst the third part deals with regional integration and poverty reduction in SADC.Policy implications come under spotlight in part four and statistical data and charts are presented in parts five and six respectively.
The Report gives clear strategies for sustained growth and poverty reduction in SADC and outlines a very specific and objective–orientated Programme of Action for SADC for the year 1999-2000.
