The sixth SADC Executive Secretary, Dr. Stergomena Lawrence TAX, visited the Republic of Seychelles from the 10th to 13th November 2013. The main purpose of her official visit to Seychelles was to pay a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency James Alix MICHEL, to introduce herself after taking office on the 1st September 2013, and to engage with key stakeholders in Seychelles and forge a common vision and understanding in delivering on priority regional integration programmes and projects, and in particular on how to accelerate the implementation of SADC programmes, especially with regards to Seychelles.
