Following the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government held on 1 June 2012 in Luanda, Republic of Angola, the Chairperson of the Organ on Politics, Defense
and Security Cooperation, H.E Jacob Zuma, President of the Republic of South Africa in consultation with the Organ Troika convened a meeting between H.E. Andry Rajoelina,
the President of the Transition and H.E. former President Marc Ravalomanana in the Republic of Seychelles on 24-25 July 2012.
The meeting took place within the context of ensuring full implementation of the Roadmap aimed at ending the crisis in the Republic of Madagascar. Before the resumption of the meeting, H.E President Jacob Zuma, observed a moment of silence in respect of the death of H.E Atta Mills, the late President of the Republic of Ghana. In attendance was H.E James Michel, President of the Republic of Seychelles and host of the meeting, as well as the Executive Secretary of SADC, Dr Tomaz Augusto Salomão.
