    REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

    (Consulting Services – Firms Selection)

    Country: Zimbabwe, with project scope encompassing eight Zambezi River Basin Countries
    Assignment Title: Production of a document entitled, “Integrated Water Resources Management Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Zambezi River Basin at a Glance”

    The Zambezi Watercourse Commission (ZAMCOM) has received financing from DANIDA toward the cost of the Danish Support to Water Management in the SADC/Zambezi Region (Regional Support Programme), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

    The consulting services („the Services”) include production of a document entitled, “Integrated Water Resources Management Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Zambezi River Basin at a Glance”.

    The Consulting Firm will be expected to work in close consultation with the ZAMCOM Secretariat (ZAMSEC). The specific services to be provided will include the following:

    (a) Rapid desk review (in consultation with ZAMSEC) of the 2008 IWRM Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Zambezi River Basin (ZAMSTRAT)”.

    (b) Production of the “Integrated Water Resources Management Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Zambezi River Basin at a Glance” document.

    (c) Production of a Power Point Presentation which captures key highlights of the “Integrated Water Resources Management Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Zambezi River Basin at a Glance” document.

    The ZAMCOM now invites eligible Consulting Firms (Consultants) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the expertise and experience to perform the Services. Consultants are expected to demonstrate their suitability to perform the assignment by giving details of the firm; describing similar assignments they have undertaken; experience in similar conditions; and availability of appropriate skills among staff.

    The attention of Consultants is drawn to the ZAMCOM Procurement and Asset Disposal Guidelines setting forth the ZAMCOM Policy on conflict of interest.

    Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.

    A consultant will be selected in accordance with the “Consultants‟ Qualifications (CQS)” method set out in the ZAMCOM Procurement and Asset Disposal Guidelines.
