    Public-Private Dialogue Forum

First Ever Public-Private Dialogue Forum on 23-24 October 2013 in Johannesburg

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) PPP Network and the NEPAD Business Foundation (NBF) announce the first ever Public-Private Dialogue Forum (PPD) event titled 'Towards Collective Action for Improved Infrastructure in SADC', taking place on the 23rd and 24th of October this year at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The PPD Forum is aimed at facilitating structured communication between public and private actors in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), thereby strengthening the efficacy of the PPP approach to achieving infrastructure development in the SADC region.  The objective of the event is to inform both private and public sector stakeholders about current and upcoming PPP project potential in the SADC region and will serve as a platform for showcasing the latest developments in infrastructure. Topics to be addressed include the future of infrastructure development in SADC as well as zooming in on selected projects in more detail.

'The private sector has much to offer in terms of financial resources, people skills and experience as an investment in public infrastructure and services,' says Kogan Pillay, who heads up the SADC PPP Network. 'It is through these collaborations that public and private sectors can both achieve their goals to the benefit of everyone in the region.'
