The SADC Seed Centre

Welcome to the SADC Seed Centre homepage.

The SADC Seed Centre is a specialized agency established by the SADC Secretariat in 2011 to coordinate the implementation of the technical agreements on the Harmonized Seed regulations in the SADC region. The Centre is located at the SADC Plant Genetic Resource Centre.

The SADC Seed Centre was established following the technical success and outputs from the SADC Seed Security Network (SSSN) project which was set up in 2004 to address the challenges of seed supply in the SADC region. >> Read more
