About us
The overall objective the Customs Programme is to support regional economic development through efficient trade facilitation systems and promotion of cooperation amongst Customs administrations and stakeholders.
Objectives
The specific objectives to be pursued shall be to:
- Harmonise the Customs Harmonized System Nomenclature
- Simplify and harmonise Customs laws and procedures.
- Cooperate in ICT and information exchange.
- Facilitate cooperation in the preservation, investigation and suppression of Customs offences.
