The UN-REDD Readiness Programme is a multilateral initiative designed to prepare developing countries for a REDD Mechanism by providing technical assistance and building in-country capacities that will enable partner countries to develop a comprehensive framework for the implementation of REDD projects in the future.

The REDD+ partnership was created in the aftermath of the UNFCCC COP15 in Copenhagen and aims to contribute to the global battle against climate change by serving as an interim platform for the Partners to scale up REDD+ actions and finance.
